How Does it Work?
AI eLearning is a stand-alone Internet or Intranet application developed by SpiraHellic Multimedia.
As part of our AI solutions suite, eLearning has been designed with power, flexibility and ease of use in mind from the outset. The solution allows all training content to be created by experts (yourselves, ourselves or third party training organisations) and once entered, you can continue to manage and extend/improve the content yourself. There are no additional costs for adding modules, sections and screens to the training courses.
Central to AI eLearning is the main management screen where authors (depending on privileges) can create new courses, presentations and/or CD-ROMs:
This screen shows three main working areas – In Progress work (right-hand side), personal courses, presentations or CD-ROMs private to the logged-in author (lower left) and Master/Approved courses, presentations and CD-ROMs (top-left) which are shared by all authors but can only be altered by super-authors.
Courses are brought from the left hand lists to the right hand list for editing/creation. Within the In Progress list, screens/slides or sections can be renamed, re-ordered, edited, deleted, viewed or printed.
Authors who have access to this screen may or may not be granted permission to move their private/in-progress courses to the Master list (where they can be made live on a web site for instance). If an author does not have permissions, they can request approval from a super-author.
When an author wishes to create or modify course (presentation or CD-ROM) content, they simply select the slide and click ‘Add’ or ‘Edit’.
The edit screen is a real powerhouse feature of AI eLearning, where users can intuitively drag and drop, resize and ‘layer’ any number or combination of objects on the screen. Objects can be any of the following:
- Text*
- Table*
- Questions** (multi-choice and open)
- Image
- Buttons – to jump to other sections of the content or download PDFs etc
- Flash Movie
- Video
- Audio File

*Where these objects are fully WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) and can themselves include images, lists, layout/mark-up, hypertext links to web sites and email links.
** Questions have to be answered correctly before users can move onto the next screen. All answers are logged for reporting purposes (see later). If a user gets a question wrong you can link the user back to the section in the course where he she will find the related training material.

 When your editing is complete, you can preview any updates before committing the changes back to the centrally managed database.
Please note: As a full web and multimedia agency, we can provide any type of pre-made content including Flash movies, 2D and 3D graphics, audio and video to assist in the construction of your content. This rich-media content significantly impacts your audience by holding the interest and participation. In training solution this has been proven to increase knowledge retention by a factor of 3 times or more.
