What Will I Send?
Be creative! Ensure that what you are sending is appropriate to the recipient, is timely and is presented in a way that is credibile.
Existing spam campaigns get by because of the low cost of delivery of sending the emails – but the response rate is equally very low and this unsolicited spamming will slowly become a thing of the past.
You need to get your email:
- Opened!
- To get the information/incentive across quickly and effectively
- Provide a range of easy trigger points
You use the subject line to get the email opened. Make it short – you probably only have a few seconds of the recipient’s attention.
Use the top part of the email content to get the proposition across.
Make it easy for recipients to hit the triggers that are normally links to your web site and then you can measure and follow up the results.
